My 6 year old has been off and on bring me coffee in the mornings. I am NOT a morning person and he is very much one. One day that I snapped at him he got up and left my bed and I felt a bit guilty for being so grumpy, but i wanted to sleep. Next thing I know he comes in with my favorite Chicago Bears mug with coffee. Sure there's no sugar in it (who needs sugar) and so much creamer that it's cold (he doesn't want me to burn my tongue) and sure there's a trail of spilled coffee from the kitchen to my room, that peacemaking gift works wonders. I love it so much when he does that. Sometimes I stay in bed cos i hear him rummaging in the kitchen and I know he's getting my coffee. By the way, Lee makes the coffee in the morning and puts it in a carafe for me to keep it hot. This morning Caleb found no sugar for my coffee so he decided that i need some ground flax seed in it instead!

He said since I'm nursing I need something good in my coffee for the baby. Sounds like his Great Grandfather there!! Can't taste it but it's a little odd to have some chunks in your coffee. He said that's how i need to drink it from now on.
WOW he surprises me and i thank God for him because even though there are times I get so frustrated when he doesn't do the things I expect him to do he comes through with these sweet little gifts.
